Ingredients

  • 1 Cup *Flax seeds
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp. *Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. *Onion powder
  • 1 tsp. *Dried basil
  • 1 dash of Cayenne pepper Just a teeny bit!

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly in bowl (preferably glass), stirring for a few minutes.
  2. Pack mixture down in bowl a bit. Cover and refrigerate overnight (12 hours).
  3. Take a large spoon and spoon mixture onto parchment covered cookie sheet.
  4. Take a piece of wax paper and coat it with a bit of avocado oil on one side. Put the coated side down on the mixture.
  5. Use a round glass or rolling pin on the wax paper to gently roll the mixture until flat (basically in the form of the cookie sheet) and as thin as possible, within reason. Gently pull the wax paper off and discard when you’re through.
  6. Wet a knife and score the flattened mixture into small squares.
  7. Bake in preheated 275° oven for 50 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and cool for about 10 minutes.
  9. Break crackers apart and enjoy!
